Human Gods

What is God?

To me, a god is someone who can create and destroy and is an entity of higher power who is both omnipotent and benevolent. When i think of god, i think of someone who created the Earth and the universe and thus created everything we know and see.
I see him as both potentially good and evil, or balanced.

This is not to say i believe in the existence of a god/s, but this is how i would imagine a god to be.

My thought is, aren't humans then fundamentally gods.
Through reproduction we can create. Through murder we can destroy.
We can plant trees and then cut them down.
Therefore like a god, we can both create and destroy, maybe not on the same scale but we are still in a early phase of our life cycle in my opinion and with time, will come greater understanding and greater change.

I had also believed a god to be of higher power, and by no means are humans equal. We are divided by wealth, fame, knowledge etc.
A human god would combine all in order to have the power rule among men.

I believe we are all god in our own rights. We all have the power to create and destroy and we all shape our own futures. We are our own god and we can become others with intent and perhaps someday, a human will rise to become our single god, who will claim our sovereignty willingly or forceably by uniting Earth under his leadership.
